The basis of trust is in the quality of the results.
MAHA is based on the results of the Madrid pilot of the project. ACTIVAGE, where during four years of work more than 6000 European participants took part in a comprehensive evaluation methodology of IoT technologies and services. This process has enabled the generation of global evidence, based on the three fundamental pillars of the EIP-AHA Triple Win Strategy: Quality of Life, Growth and Innovation and Sustainability.
En Madrid, 1000 participantes —800 mayores de 65 años, 38 cuidadores profesionales y 100 familiares— fueron parte de un estudio quasi-experimental, no aleatorizado con dos grupos (control y experimental) y medidas tomadas en el inicio, a los 3 meses y a los 6 meses. Algunos de los datos recogidos al final del proyecto en 2020, demuestran la buena percepción por parte de los usuarios:
These results obtained in the DS Madrid pilot (2016-2020) allow us to affirm that ecosystems based on Active and Healthy Ageing interventions supported by IoT have benefits on the quality of life of people over 65 years old, in terms of their perception of quality of life, physical condition and social participation.
ACTIVAGE is a European project with 11 use cases deployed in Europe with more than 6000 users over 65 years old and 1300 carers, 3 of them were successfully validated by MAHA.
We will soon disseminate the official results from the scientific publication of all the evidence.
In the meantime, we continue to work
We are organisers of the World Congress of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering Scientific Challenge for the 2022 edition in Singapore. We have set a challenge that will enable us to analyse, understand and leverage the challenges around adherence in technologies for Active and Healthy Ageing. More than 20 groups from all over the world are working together with us to find answers to build new paths!
